Action Alert! In March, the Bureau of Land Management will hold an open house in Portland to answer questions, talk directly to the public, and give an opportunity to submit written or oral comments. We are asking everyone who is opposed to or questioning the Lava Ridge project to attend this open house. This isn’t a public hearing, but it is important to show up and demonstrate to the BLM that there is strong local opposition and concern about the effects of the proposal on the Minidoka Historic Site. It’s an opportunity to connect with others who oppose the project and to get your questions answered by the BLM directly. You will also be able to access the resources you need to write and submit a comment to the BLM. The event runs from 3-7pm, but we are asking our community to show up from 4:30-5:30pm so we can make a bigger impact together.
