May is recognized nationally as Asian + Pacific Islander Heritage Month. This year, APANO invites you to join them in celebrating the rich history and resilience of Asians and Pacific Islanders in Oregon and support the future leadership and initiatives of our communities. Throughout the month of May, APANO Communities United Fund will dive into the theme of community. Our Liberation in Practice series for BIPOC participants will return for its second year, hosting conversations that delve into why community is important, interrogate the “API” moniker, and ground us in the power we find with each other. APANO will cap off the month with Voices of Change: Community Celebration, which all of their community, partners, and allies are invited to. They envision Voices of Change to be a time to reconnect, celebrate, and energize our community. We are here – the future is in our hands.
